Crossing the bridge over the Panjkora River in front of Jamia Masjid (Darul slam), the ancient historical mosque of Thall at the last village of Dir Kohistan, the left hand path leads to Kumratvalley. And the right-hand road leads to Jandri Valley and Kalam Swat Kohistan. As soon as you leave Thall, you reach to village Lamoti. You have to leave the main road and go down to Lamoti village as the main road goes towards Badgoye Valley and from there it goes to Utaror and Kalam of Swat Kohistan.
It is at least an hour's drive from Lamoti village to Jandri valley. After reaching Jandri Valley, if you want to go on foot, then the road to Erbi will be fine (there is a five to six hour walk from Hashmi Museum to Jehaz Banda and there is a famous climb of Erbi along the way) but if you do not want to go on foot or you have a family with you, then instead of stepping down near the Hashmi Museum, you have to go straight to Gamseer on the same road. When you reach Gamseer Village, you will once again have to leave the main road which leads to Dankar, Seri etc. cross the bridge over the river and go to Takki Top. Takki Top is a base camp where apart from car parking, also have many small hotels. Here you can easily find porters, guides and mules. From there, it is at least an hour and a half's walk to Jehaz Banda. There is only one climb on this route and it is barely twenty minutes straight after that, you can easily reach Jehaz Banda. If one does not even walk on this track, there are horses on which you can easily reach Jehaz Banda.
Jehaz Banda is a famous and beautiful spot of Dir Kohistan. In addition to Katoora Lake and two small lakes, there are three large waterfalls (Danu Pashkir Waterfall, Kund Waterfall and Kara Waterfall) and many more. The Kund waterfall in front of the Dinu Pashkir waterfall, the attached lush green meadows can have a magical effect on the viewer. There are hotels and camps available, where everything you need, can be easily found. My suggestion is that if one has to go to Jehaz Banda, he should go on the road with Takki Top, owing to the road, the vehicle can easily go from Thall to Takki-top and from there the straight and smooth road goes straight to Jehaz Banda. Although the Erbi route is rich in natural beauty, but the climb or ascent is so hard.
